Pope Francis is quoted as saying, “Lord, help us to live the virtue of generosity, to love without limits.” 2022 has been a challenging year for many and that may include you. These challenges cause us to live within (often self-defined) limits. Thankfully, God’s love for us all has no limits. The blessings of God continue to flow. As we approach the end of 2022 I want to encourage you to live fully into the virtue of generosity by completing your pledge for this year. Our vision is to finish the year strong and you can help us achieve this vision through your faithful and extravagant generosity.
Second, if you have not done so, I encourage you to complete a 2023 pledge card so we can be prepared for ministry in the coming year. Out of the 86 families that are members and regular attenders, we have received commitments from 43 families or 50%. I invite you to continue being a vital part of God’s work here at St. John’s; your planned generosity is the outward sign of your deep faith. Your tangible giving is an important expression of your faith in God, in what God is doing, and in your church community. ~Rev. Dr. Jim Hoffman
