Fall Enrollment for the 2018-2019 School Year



Dear Parents,


What a great school year this has been! It is hard to believe that Parents’ Day Out Fall Enrollment for the next

school year is almost here! We hope that this letter will give you all the information you need for enrolling your child.

The following areas of learning will be offered for the 2017-2018 school year:


Crib Room:  Children age 1 year (must be 1 by September 1, 2018)

Toddler Room:  Children age 2 years (must be 2 by December 1, 2018)

Preschool Room:  Children age 2½ – 3 years (must be 3 by February 1, 2019)

Older Preschool Room: Children age 3½ – 4 years

(must be 4 by April 1, 2019 and potty trained)


Our monthly tuition this fall will be:

$124.00 per child for one day a week ($130.00 if in Crib Room)

$248.00 per child for two days a week ($260.00 if in Crib Room)

Our class hours will remain the same, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  “Extended day” stay will be offered on certain days.


Fall Enrollment will begin the week of February 5 for St. John’s church members only.  Enrollment cards may be brought in any time that week to my office.


Fall Enrollment for those currently attending our program and alumni will begin on Monday, February 12, at 8:30 a.m.  Alumni (past PDO families not currently attending this year) may enroll at this same time, but will be given their choices after the current families. In order to simplify our enrollment, you will find an attached enrollment card that needs to be filled out completely. Please include a check for $174.00 per child ($180.00 for Crib Room) and give it to me in the PDO office that morning. These families will be given first choice on a first come, first served basis.  You will be asked to sign-in when you arrive, as to keep all enrolling in proper order.  If you arrive before I do, you will need to sign your name in order of arrival on a sheet posted on the outside door. When I arrive, you will come inside and sign again in the same order on another sheet by my office. When I call your name, you will submit your card and check.  The enrollment cards will be numbered in the order they are received and will be processed later. No enrollment cards will be accepted before February 12 for these families.


Fall Enrollment for those who have inquired, but are not currently attending our program, will begin on Thursday, February 15 at 8:30 a.m.  The enrollment process is the same as above, with a sign-up sheet on the outside door as well as next to my office. This keeps everyone in order of arrival. If you arrive before I do, you will need to sign your name in order of arrival on the outside door. This door is located on the church’s west side closest to 69th Terrace. Look for the awning with “Parents’ Day Out” outside our entrance. If arriving early when it is still dark, PLEASE exercise caution while sitting alone in your parked car. We are concerned about your safety. Once I arrive, you will come in this same door, go up the stairs (look for the bear on the door!) and turn right. You will also be asked to sign-up in the same order when you arrive inside as to keep your place in line. The classrooms will be opened for anyone with children.  The attached enrollment card, filled out completely, along with a check for $174.00 per child ($180.00 for Crib Room) will be brought to me in the PDO office that morning.  When I call your name, you may submit your card and check. These cards will be numbered in the order received and processed later.  No enrollment cards will be accepted before February 15 for these families.

On the evening of February 14, I will post on the outside door, as well as leave a message on my voice mail, the status of each room following the enrollment of current and past families earlier this week. This will indicate which rooms are full at this time and which rooms still have openings. In the event that we are not able to enroll your child, or cannot give you your first choice of preferred days, we will discuss other options, as different days, wait list, etc. with the hope to later enroll your child. (Many of our currently enrolled families started out on wait lists, so please be patient if you do not first get enrolled!)

Your enrollment fee includes $50.00 for registration and $124.00/$130.00 toward your September tuition.  If your child is attending more than one day a week, the balance for the second day ($124.00/$130.00) will be due September 1.  There will be no refunds made of enrollment fees for dropping from the program after July 1. If dropping prior to July 1 and your spot can be filled, half of your enrollment fee will be refunded.
