HARD LOVE

I don’t know about you, but there is a lot of my life that is lived with my head down, focused on the myopic tasks that are before me.  This means that I may miss a lot of the world around me and what is happening, particularly with my neighbor.  I believe that God is still trying to smooth out the rough edges in me, especially those related to how I engage my neighbor(s).  If we believe that love is the antidote to the ills of this world and humans, then we have to engage others to share the antidote.  We have to learn what it means to literally practice loving our neighbors.

This Sunday we will continue our worship series, Hard Love, discussing what it means for each of us to “love our neighbor as we love ourselves.  I invite you to join us at either 8:30 am or 10:45 am for our hour of worship and conversation.  All are welcome here at St. John’s – come and join with us as celebrate the love and goodness of God.

Until Sunday, blessings for the journey.
