At one of our favorite local restaurants, I recently discovered they have copies of Coffee News. Not sure if you are familiar with it, but it is a one-page newsletter with ads and snippets about local and world events. It also has your horoscope, fun facts and silly jokes like, “What do Sir Galahad and Sir Lancelot watch at 6 o’clock? The knightly news.” I think you get the point. In a recent edition the section titled “Everybody’s Talking” had four curious events. They struck me because they reminded me of things about the scriptures and the nature of the church. So for the next four weeks, we will use these stories combined with biblical texts to remind us of the Good News! I invite you to join us for our next worship series, “Coffee News.” ~ Rev.
