One of the challenges of following Jesus is learning to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Jesus did it by using his gifts and lending a hand - we can do the same. The scriptures challenge us to move beyond being “hearers” of God’s word. The invitation is to be “doers” of God’s word, particularly as it relates to meaningful ministry with and for others. Join us for a community meal and conversation on how to be “doers” of meaningful ministry. We will have four distinct conversations around tables, covering violence committed with a gun, addiction and homelessness, food insecurity and literacy, and aid to poor nationals and immigrants in our city. You are welcome to come for the meal but our real hope is that you will stick around for the conversation.
