You never know what fascinating facts will pop up when you read a novel! This month’s book selection provides us with information on the blue-skinned people of Kentucky (had you ever heard of them??) and the Kentucky Pack Horse library service of the 1930s. Book Title: The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek Author: Kim Michele Richardson One Goodreads reviewer describes her experience with the book like this: “My favorite kinds of books are those that not only draw me in but educate me, cause me to feel and to think. This one fit the bill perfectly. Not only did I learn more about the Blue People of Kentucky and their rare genetic trait, but I also learned more about the Pack Horse library project which was the brainstorm of Eleanor Roosevelt.” Join our discussion about the book and reconnect with your St. John’s reader friends!
