Kick off the Advent season with our traditional “Hanging of the Greens” ceremony. “Hanging of the Greens” refers to the practice of adding evergreen plants (live or artificial) to our Sanctuary. The symbolism of evergreens points to the unending life of the age to come when Christ returns, the dead are raised, and the righteous enter life in the new creation. (umc.org) If you would like your child and/or grandchild to participate just show up. We will gather in the main entrance (Rotunda) at 10:15 AM. Families, don’t forget your “Six Words” ornament!
